Casillero del DiabloThe Wine LegendThis legend began more than 100 years ago, when Don Melchor de Concha y Toro, founder of Concha y Toro winery, reserved for himself an exclusive batch of his best wines. To keep strangers away from this special private cellar, he spread the rumor that the Devil lived there. Hence the name: Casillero del Diablo.Nowadays Casillero del Diablo is a brand with tradition and history that has gained prestige around the world for its quality and the diversity of its varieties that have become the favorites of millions of consumers across the globe. The quality of each Casillero del Diablo creation enables consumers to discover the aromas, flavors, and best expression of Chile’s most select wine regions. In 2014 the prestigious English publication Drinks International named Casillero del Diablo the second most admired brand in the world, an acknowledgement that is just one of a number of awards and recognition the brand has received in recent years.
