For children
Ship cat Ville Viking
On board, children can play with Ville the cat. He adores new friends, adventures and monkey tricks. In summer, young passengers can have fun with him in the Adventure Island playing games, doing crafts and quizzes, and taking part in relay races.
Available on all Viking Line ships except 'Birka Gotland'.
Pelle Svanslös
On Birka Gotland, young travellers can join Pelle Svanslös and Maja Gräddnos for fun-filled family adventures during school holidays. During school holidays, Pelle's dedicated play area offers games, LEGO, films and plenty of space to play, alongside mini shows, family discos and music quizzes. Children can also enjoy family-friendly dining options throughout the cruise.
Delicious dining on board
Fresh sea air is sure to work up an appetite. That's why you'll find a great choice of restaurants on board, offering something for every taste. Choose from à la carte restaurants with children's menus, cosy cafés and generous buffet dining.
Children under the age of 6 enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner when meals are booked in advance. Older children receive discounted buffet prices.
Family-friendly cabins
Whether you're looking for a great-value Inside cabin, a spacious Premium cabin or a luxurious suite, you'll find comfortable accommodation for the whole family on board. A wide range of cabin categories is available to suit different family sizes and travel budgets.
Cots are available for children weighing up to 10 kg. We do not recommend that children sleep in the upper berths. Additional safety rails for upper berths are available free of charge upon request. Please contact the reception on board if you require a cot or safety rail.
Spa & wellness
Treat the whole family to time together in the spa, with whirlpools, saunas and relaxing spa treatments. On Viking Grace and Viking Glory, the spa features panoramic views of the archipelago, whirlpools and a choice of saunas. Family-friendly opening hours allow younger guests to enjoy the facilities at selected times.
During school holidays on Birka Gotland, the spa welcomes guests aged 13–17 when accompanied by an adult, making it even easier for the whole family to enjoy a relaxing spa experience together.
Playrooms
Most of our ships feature dedicated play areas where children of all ages can enjoy games and activities throughout the journey. From ball pits and climbing fun to toys and interactive play, there's plenty to keep young travellers entertained.

Children are always welcome to join in the fun on board! We offer plenty of family-friendly activities throughout the year, with an exciting programme of additional entertainment during the summer break.
Across our ships, children can meet the much-loved Ville Viking*, enjoy Adventure Island with everything from a cinema to mini golf, and take part in a wide range of fun activities.
* On 'Birka Gotland', children can enjoy a dedicated summer holiday programme featuring Pelle Svanslös and Maja Gräddnos, with themed entertainment and activities for the whole family.
