Shuttle buses

Before travelling on one of our connecting coaches, take a moment to check the practical information below. From advance bookings and luggage to travelling with pets or reduced mobility, a little preparation will help ensure a smooth journey to and from the harbour.

Always book in advance

Coach seats must always be booked in advance, as we cannot guarantee availability without a reservation. Please arrive at the stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time and allow enough time to board comfortably.

Child car seats on connecting coaches

You may bring your own child car seat when travelling on a connecting coach. Please make sure you have everything you need for your child’s journey before departure.

Responsibility for luggage

You are responsible for your luggage throughout the coach journey, including when boarding and leaving the coach. Please make sure you have collected all your belongings before continuing your journey.

Rules on board

Smoking and consuming alcohol are not permitted on board our coaches. We want the journey to be pleasant and safe for everyone, and the driver has the right to ask disruptive passengers to leave the coach. Any onward travel will then be at the passenger's own expense.

Timetable changes

Stops, departure times and prices shown in the timetables may change during their period of validity. Please check the latest information before travelling. We also reserve the right to cancel coach services if there are too few passengers.

Bicycles

Unfortunately, bicycles cannot be carried on our connecting coaches. If you are travelling with a bicycle, please make alternative arrangements for getting to and from the harbour.

Pets

One pet may be brought on board the coach. On the coach, pets must be kept in a carrier or bag, and owners are responsible for ensuring that they do not disturb other passengers.

Passengers travelling with pets will be allocated seats towards the rear of the coach to minimise any inconvenience to passengers with allergies. Assistance dogs are exempt from these restrictions.

Wheelchairs on connecting coaches

We want to provide the best possible travel experience for passengers with reduced mobility. However, some arrangements may need to be made before you travel, particularly if you use a wheelchair or require assistance when travelling on one of our connecting coaches. Check out more »

Possible timetable changes

Viking Line reserves the right to make changes to coach departure and arrival times. We cannot accept responsibility for missed connections operated by other transport providers as a result of such changes.
