Each passenger, including children, must carry a valid travel document — a passport or a national identity card, depending on citizenship. If the passenger does not have the appropriate documents or refuses to present them, we have the right to refuse check-in and boarding.
Passports and visas

Kindly note that digital travel documents are not valid for travel. There is a visa-free regime between Estonia, Finland and Sweden. However, for the first entry into any of these countries, some citizens need a Schengen visa. Apply for a visa in advance at the embassy or consulate of the country you are entering first. If you already have a visa, be sure to check if it will be valid for the entire trip.
The passenger is independently responsible for arranging insurance and for ensuring that the insurance covers all necessary eventualities, such as in the event of a trip cancellation. When entering a Schengen country, passengers must be prepared for insurance policy checks at the border.
Viking Line cannot be held liable and, unfortunately, cannot reimburse costs if a passenger misses a voyage due to incorrectly completed documents.
