Essi Avellan — the first Finnish Master of Wine

Essi Avellan is one of the wine world’s foremost champagne experts and an internationally respected authority in her field. She has written several acclaimed books on wine and contributed to two editions of Christie's World Encyclopedia of Champagne and Sparkling Wine.

An internationally recognised wine judge, she has also served on the champagne tasting panels for the prestigious publications Decanter and The World of Fine Wine. Thanks to her exceptional expertise and passion for champagne, Essi has established herself as one of the industry’s leading voices.
