Description

Skåne Akvavit was launched in 1931 and has a mild character and spiciness with a taste of cumin and hints of anise and fennel. Apart from the name, the classic wollow tree allé on the label gives a clear hint about the origin of the schnapps. Skåne Akvavit is a go to card that fits most things. For herring, it is practically impossible to fail as the seasoning is mild, it matches the herring taste without taking over. The cumin spice is also excellent for other classics on the smorgasbord, but best for the slightly milder dishes such as ham, jam, pickled salmon, but also for crayfish and aged cheese or a Västerbotten cheese pie.
