Don Johnson Big Band

Don Johnson Big Band became known to the entire nation already with their debut album Support de Microphones. The flower-covered release became one of the country’s best-selling self-published albums and so important that Svart Records pressed a commemorative vinyl of it 20 years after its release. The band’s albums have since been awarded three Emma awards, topped the Finnish album chart twice, and achieved both gold and platinum status. The skilled musicians’ material surprises time and again with its unpredictability. DJBB’s unique sound carries broad influences from various genres, from rap and pop to funk and from rock and electronic music to jazz. The band always reconvenes in the studio to reinvent themselves with the help of guest artists. The vibe is far from stiff and serious.
