You have the right to cancellation with refund or change of date up till 24 hours before departure. If cancelled, 10% (minimum €10) of the total price will be deducted from the refundable amount. This deduction is not made if you have cancellation insurance, can show a medical certificate, changes to a cheaper meal or cabin category (or other arrangement) or book a new trip with departure within 6 months.

Note that special cruises, charter departures, and trips with theater tickets, opera, concerts and other events tickets have differing repayment terms.

Service or handling fee and cancellation insurance is not refundable.

As an alternative to reimbursement for canceled trips, you can in some cases keep the money deposited for a new trip within 6 months. For detailed instructions please contact Viking Line office per e-mail, international.sales@vikingline.com. When you cancel a trip and then book a new trip, the payment is not automatically transferred to the new booking. Our travel service can however transfer the balance to the new booking. This does not apply when you have paid your trip with a credit card over the phone. In that case, the money must be returned to the card used for the payment of the trip, after a refund application has been submitted.

Route traffic ("one-way")

If you have two one-way passages booked you must also cancel the return trip at least 24 hours before its scheduled departure time to qualify for a refund. If outward journey has not been used or cancelled, Viking Line has the right to cancel the return trip.
