Local transfer connections in Stockholm

Our Transfer buses ("Båtbussarna") travel between Cityterminalen and Viking Line terminal (Stadsgården) and vice versa in connection with arrivals and departures of the ships. A fee is charged and the trip takes around 15 min. The Central Train Station is located right next to the City Terminal.

  • One-way Stadsgården–City Terminal €6, children 6–11 years €3.50
  • One-way Stadsgården–Djurgården €6, children 6–11 years €3.50
  • Return to both destinations €10, children 6–11 years €5.50

Two children (0–5 years) travel free with full paying adult.

Where to buy tickets?

  • In the City Terminal, in the Viking Line travel shop, Båtbussarna travel shop or convenience store "Pressbyrån"

  • Information desks on board the ship or at terminal (there's also a ticket machine outside of the terminal)

There is also an outdoor ticket machine at the Viking Line terminal, where you can pay by Visa, Master Card, American Express and Diner's Club.

If you have a Swedish mobile subscription, you can buy a single bus ticket via SMS to 72212 with the code HVL40.

Traveling from Helsinki

There will be a host present outside the terminal to answer questions regarding Båtbussarna after Mariella's and Gabriella's arrival in Stockholm.

Tour to the City Terminal via Djurgården

The bus departing at 10.45 from the Viking Line terminal run directly to Djurgården and from there to the City Terminal (signage "Djurgården"). Travel time to Djurgården is about 20–30 minutes and there are two stops – at Nordiska Museet (Junibacken) and Skansen. Flygbussarna return from Djurgården to Viking Line terminal at 15.00, from Skansen stop.

Local traffic

Metro to stop Slussen (green and red lines), take exit "Saltsjöbanan, Nacka-bussar". Board any bus of number 400-series and get off next stop (Londonviadukten). The Viking Line terminal is opposite. Note! Busses marked with D do not stop there, always confirm with driver. A walk from Slussen to the terminal takes around 15 min (about 1 km)

Boat transfer with M/S Emelie

One way or day ticket for travel from Masthamnen (close to the Viking Line terminal) to Stockholm City (Nybroplan) via Djurgården (Vasamuseum, Junibacken, Abbamuseum, Skansen, Gröna Lund) and vice versa with M/S Emelie. To travel by local ferries is an amazing way to experience a city built on islands.
